Dolev Homes for Youth (aka Ulpanat Dolev) is a residential rehabilitation school in the community of Dolev near Modiin for high-risk girls (10-19) from all over Israel. The girls have been removed from unsupportive environments and abusive relationships that have caused learning problems, underachievement in school, emotional insecurity, and trauma. The girls live in family units and study secular and religious subjects and vocational studies (cosmetology, computer programming, etc.) and participate in therapies and other activities (music, dance, etc.). The school is unique in that it integrates its students with the local community by having students stay in the homes of Dolev families on a weekly basis. It also administers Ashdod’s teen crisis management center Bet Reshet, providing a number of vocational, therapeutic, and rehabilitative programs for at-risk teens.
