The Dead Sea, one of Earth’s most remarkable geological formations, is disappearing at an alarming rate. Despite its ecological, historical, and religious significance, this unique body of water is declining by approximately 1.2 meters annually, with its surface area having been reduced by a third in just the last decade. Responding to the need for a solution, The Dead Sea Guardians was established in 2022 as a non-profit civil movement incorporated as a public benefit corporation to promote the Seas much-needed rehabilitation. At the core of The Guardians’ mission is an innovative framework that involves saving this natural wonder while also using it to promote regional stability and prosperity. Our mission is one: to ensure that the last chance to save this natural wonder is realized, for us and for future generations. Our organization is unique in bringing together exceptional talent leaders in business, art, media, academia, and government from within Israeli society as well as from around the world. Moreover, following October 7, 2023, and the ensuing regional war, uniting to save this one-of-a-kind place provides a holistic avenue for strengthening Israeli society’s resilience interlacing social, cultural, economic and ecological aspects, and strengthening its capacity to recover and hope. Please join us and become a partner, supporting programs such as: Leadership program: developing a network of seasoned ambassadors for change. Research and innovation: promoting rehabilitation efforts and regional economic development through partnerships and professional resource assessments. Creating civic awareness and public pressure through campaigns and events. An international YAMA Summit, centered on wellness and economic initiatives.
