The Crisis Center for Religious Women was established to provide emotional support and advice for religious/charedi women who are in crisis. These women would not turn to existing crisis centers due to the religious issues involved, and, therefore, were unable to receive vital support. Today women from all backgrounds, religious and well as secular, non-Jews, and also minors, approach and receive help from the Center. The Center offers workshops that provide information concerning the problems of abuse, violence and rape with aim of preventing future occurrences. In addition, it operates a 24-hour hotline service for women throughout the country, an extensive referral service in the areas of psychological therapy, legal aid, medical treatment, etc., training courses for potential volunteers, and subsidized therapy and legal programs.
