Chelev Ha Aretz

Chelev Haaretz is a grassroots, non-profit organization that provides services for the less fortunate in the south Jerusalem, Israel area. They distribute food and clothing to hundreds of needy families and run programs for children, many from impoverished families. It provides full-day, after-school and vacation time child care, extracurricular activities, social development programs, and meals for the children. Activities include helping children with homework, learning in the computer club, carpentry, arts and crafts, field trips around the country, and much more. In addition, supplies and food packages are provided for needy families and meals are delivered to the elderly.
