Brit HaLeviot is a registered Israeli nonprofit supporting approximately 500 families raising transgender and gender-diverse children and youth throughout Israel. Its activities include building a safe and empowering family community; guiding parents through their children’s coming-out and gender-transition processes; operating Kav HaKeshet, an educational advisory service for schools and professionals; providing information on health, rights, education, military service and social gender affirmation; collaborating with the Ministries of Welfare, Education and Health; training education and healthcare professionals; and participating in academic research. Planned activities include expanding programs for geographically and socially peripheral and religious communities, and a joint program with Tehila for families of transgender children and youth. Support comes from foundations and individual donors in Israel and abroad, government grants (including the Ministry of Welfare and National Insurance Institute), and international Jewish foundations.
