Aviv for the Elderly is a nonprofit organization that has helped more than 65,000 holocaust survivors and hundreds of social workers, volunteers, doctors and family members that are totally confused by the Israeli law. Due to the ongoing work of the Amuta’s devoted workers, over 120 million NIS – more than 30 million dollars, was transferred to those elderly citizens, who are not aware of benefits due to them from Israel’s Finance Ministry, from Germany, from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, from the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel and other local agencies. Aviv Le’nizolei Shoa’s lawyers do not charge any fees for their work and dedicate their lives to the improvement of the quality of life of the 200,000 Israeli holocaust survivors, one third of whom are living in poverty.
