The Israel Association of Community Centers (IACC), Israel?s leading social organization, aims to build and develop a nationwide network of sustainable local communities, contributing to a strong and resilient society, enabling each person to feel significant and become a partner in his or her community. The IACC is dedicated to the development and management of advanced complementary educational frameworks and lifelong learning, and to equally and effectively serving community members with special needs, all within a comprehensive community approach and for a continuum of ages. Implementing the IACC vision: IACC operates a nationwide network of 800 community centers, in more than 155 municipalities, serving millions of residents from all sectors and populations within Israeli society, including Jewish, Arab, Druze, Bedouin, secular, religious, Ultra-Orthodox and others. Core Values: The values that form the basis of all operations of the community center are: mutual responsibility and volunteerism, accessibility and inclusion, and communal identity in Israeli society. The Israel Association of Community Centers (IACC) as a Community Builder IACC is deeply committed to the process of community building as a source of positive social change and societal cohesion in advancing Israel’s pluralistic society as one of welcoming, mutual respect and neighborliness. IACC’s network of community centers is at the heart of this crucial, ongoing process, working to strengthen marginalized and underserved groups internally, while building bridges of understanding and constructive interaction between and among individual groups. We believe that with a thoughtful and strategic approach to community-building, Israeli society will be strengthened by the unique and complementary experiences, cultures and perspectives of each of its constituent community groups.
