Aner Shapira (2001-2023) was an IDF soldier in the Nahal Patrol, who gave his life in heroic combat on October 7, when he repelled eight grenades from the enemy. Thanks to him, many lives were saved. Beyond being a hero, who worked to save lives while giving his life, Aner was also a multi-talented creator: a musician, painter, composer, writer, rapper, singer and an inspiring artist. He loved people, pursued justice and worked for it. Aner believed in the power of music to unite, empower, and heal, and dedicated his time to improving society through art and creativity. His musical works touch many hearts, combining emotional depth with a message of connection between people. The “Aner” association strives to continue the legacy of the late Aner Shapira by promoting social, cultural and personal connections through music. The association is not only intended to commemorate, but also to continue Aner’s path and create substantial social change through music. The association’s vision is to make music a tool for bridging gaps and empowering diverse communities, based on the belief in the power of every person to become a hero in their own life space. Especially at this time, creativity is important as part of building identity, cohesion, and resilience. The profits from the sale of products on the site are dedicated to realizing the goals of the association, including music programs for youth and young artists; establishing a music center and stage for performances in central Jerusalem; creating diverse encounters and connections in Israeli society. This is in addition to continuing to promote Aner’s work and its distribution.
