Ein Yael is an archaeological park for craft, culture, and nature, a unique center for hands-on experiences, knowledge, and inspiration in the fields of ancient crafts, contemporary art, and the healing power of nature. Ein Yael is a home for a life of culture and ancient crafts, art happenings, and healing processes. These elements, which have been coming together in the Jerusalem Hills for millennia, are the basis of the location’s unique character and provide the learning opportunities open to visitors, supporters, artists and craftspeople at Ein Yael. The motto of the Ein Yael community is commitment. The people of Ein Yael have taken upon themselves responsibility to preserve and nurture the place for current and future generations. In the spaces between forest paths and antiquities in the ancient farm, they share the secrets of ancient crafts, agriculture, and the bond with nature with the park visitors. The people of Ein Yael are educators, cultural workers, artists, and therapists, striving to preserve and nurture the secrets of nature, archaeology, and crafts of Ein Yael and the stories of its ancestors – the farmers and skilled artisans who breathed life and creativity into the site throughout the centuries. The people of Ein Yael are committed guardians of the park sworn to conserve the site and its antiquities and to maintain the pulse of the on-site activities. They know that without their efforts, all of the wide-branching legacy of those who came before them who worked and lived in Ein Yael are in danger of extinction and will fall into oblivion forever. Ein Yael, a Registered Amuta [Association] for the preservation of the cultural legacy in varied, relevant ways, operates through three main branches, each with its own content, each integral to the three-part operation of the site. Each center is a professional center with vast experience, knowledge, and activities in its own specialized field.
