Al-Rowad is a new nonprofit organization that aims to eliminate violence in the Arab sector through education. Established in 2020 by FMK Saleh Saad and Dr. Insaf Abu Ahmad, both Arab Israelis who have extensive experience of the realities and needs of their communities, Al-Rowad aims to create programs that will reduce and eradicate violence in the Arab sector in Israel. There is a huge need to address this issue and there is no organized body except Al-Rowad who has accepted this vast challenge. Al-Rowad works with Arabic speakers from all sectors, religions and regions including Druze, Circassian, Bedouin, Muslims and Christians. The programs that we are developing are equally relevant to all these groups. We are developing programs specifically aimed at early childhood education, for elementary schools, and high schools, programs for teachers and for parents, and specific programs for women. We are committed to working together with educational institutions, local authorities, community centers, and youth movements in order to minimize and eventually eradicate violence in the Arab sector.
