Ahavat Hinam (free love) community center was established with the goal of working to integrate the autistic children into the overall fabric of life and based on a concept of equal rights and opportunities, this home is a therapeutic community center for children diagnosed on the autistic spectrum. This population is in a very complex reality during their day to day afternoon hours, especially in the peripheral settlements, and in Nahariya city in particular. On the one hand, there is no community framework in the afternoon, there are no classes or activities suitable for their needs and limitations, and on the other hand, their presence at home for many hours makes it difficult for the families to function and does not allow the parents quality time with the rest of the family. What was required was the establishment of a community, social and therapeutic center, as Ahavat Hinam Center, which provides a solution to social activities, leisure activities, as well as enrichment classes combined with paramedical and emotional therapies. We have developed a unique therapeutic method: S.H.T.A. – Social Holistic Treatment of Autism The model for handling children communication problems. An innovative social holistic model for the treatment of children up to the age of 21, diagnosed on the autism spectrum, and their families. Model S.H.T.A. Developed in “Ahavat Hinam Center” in Nahariya aimed at community treatment and accompaniment processes. The model aims to give children social skills and life skills in a unique holistic format in a safe space that allows for self-realization and the exploitation of abilities. The children on the autism spectrum get to participate in a joint activity that includes: paramedical treatments, emotional treatments, therapeutic sports, therapy using animals, music, dance and more. Our center gives the feeling of a home full of light and love and together we create a better world.
