A.M.I.R.’s goal is to obtain historic information on Romanian Jewry in Romania and Israel in general and from the Holocaust in particular to be commemorated and to inform the public and succeeding generations. Its main objectives include the establishment of a museum on the history and heritage of Romanian Jewry and the development of opportunities for revealing the contributions of Romanian Jews to the establishment and building of the State of Israel. One of A.M.I.R.’s initiatives is its historical archive in Rosh Pina. A.M.I.R. funds the ROMANIAN JEWISH HERITAGE ARCHIVE, whose goal is to fulfill A.M.I.R.’s mission to commemorate and disseminate the history and heritage of Romanian Jewry. A.M.I.R. – collects through the Romanian Jewish Heritage Archives – materials related to Romanian Jewry, its diverse communities, and makes it accessible for commemorative, educational and research purposes.
